Do you require a contract?
No. We have an Agreement For Services that explains the services to be provided and the cost (if any) to you. There is no long-term commitment. If you decide to try another type of care you only pay for the services rendered.

What Does Medicare Pay For?
Medicare will reimburse for intermittent skilled services (primarily nursing and therapies). This type of care is usually needed after a hospital stay or a significant change in a patient’s health. Medicare usually will not pay for long term custodial or skilled care. There are various criteria that qualify someone for Medicare home care. The easiest way to determine if your situation qualifies for Medicare is to have one of our nurses assess your situation. We will tell you if you qualify and help you get the services you need.

If Medicare does not cover my care, how do I pay for your services?
There are several options that may cover those costs. Some skilled services are covered by health or workers compensation insurance if it is available. Long-term care policies will cover custodial services for extended periods of time if the policy holder qualifies. What qualifies and what does not varies depending on the insurance policy and the situation. Our nurses assess these types of situations regularly and can help you determine what your options are. Since we work with Medicare, various types of insurance and private pay sources, we can help you determine what benefits you are entitled to and we can structure a care plan that maximizes the benefits you have available.

What if I need other services in addition to home care?
We regularly work with medical equipment companies, hospice companies, infusion companies and other service providers. We can help you determine what your needs are or bring in specialists who can.

For custodial services, why not save money and hire my own caregiver?
This is certainly an option for some people. The problems are payroll taxes, accountability, theft, sickness and a number of other problems that come with hiring someone to work in your home. Reachout Home Care allows you to have choices and piece of mind. If you don’t like the caregiver we send initially, we will keep sending you qualified candidates until we find one you like. If your regular caregiver is sick or is unable to get to work, we can temporarily replace him/her on a moment’s notice. Our service gives you flexibility and allows you to avoid worrying about the unexpected. Reachout Home Care is also fully insured and bonded for your protection.

How do I get your service started?
All you need to do is make a phone call. One of our Registered Nurses will conduct a brief phone interview to get some information and set up a time to assess the patient. There is no charge for this assessment and it can occur in the home or in a hospital or other facility. The nurse will work with you to establish a plan of care and will bring caregivers to the home to meet the patient and family to make sure they are compatible.
